Are you an experienced kitchen manager with a passion for fostering culinary talent and ensuring a top-notch facility? Frontier Kitchen, a thriving food and beverage business incubator, is looking for a Facility Instructor to oversee our bustling kitchen operations.
In this pivotal role, you'll be the heart of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth, safe, and collaborative environment for our diverse community of food entrepreneurs. We're looking for someone who can expertly balance operational excellence with a knack for mentorship and training.
We are looking for someone with experience in managing operations in a food service environment. Must be willing to clean and troubleshoot equipment problems.
What You'll Do:
Kitchen Operations & Maintenance: You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of our shared kitchen space. This includes performing regular inspections of all kitchen equipment to ensure it's functioning correctly and coordinating any necessary maintenance or repairs.
Regulatory Compliance & Cleanliness: Upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene is paramount. You'll ensure the kitchen consistently meets and exceeds all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
Member Relations & Collaboration: Foster a positive and productive environment where our members can thrive. You'll facilitate smooth collaboration among users and address any interpersonal issues that may arise.
Training & Development: As a Facility Instructor, you'll be instrumental in the success of our members. You'll conduct comprehensive training for new members on kitchen policies, equipment usage, and safety protocols. You'll also supervise and guide members in training their own employees, ensuring best practices are followed.
Inventory & Supplies: Oversee the ordering and stocking of essential kitchen supplies, ensuring our members have what they need to operate efficiently.
This is NOT a cooking position. You will be cleaning.
Who You Are:
Regulatory Expert: You possess a deep understanding of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, local health codes) and can ensure compliance at all times.
Strong Communicator & Leader: You're an excellent communicator, capable of clearly conveying instructions, resolving conflicts, and building positive relationships. You're a natural leader who can inspire and guide others.
Detail-Oriented & Proactive: You have a keen eye for detail and are proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues before they become problems.
