FACILITY SUPERVISOR

Frontier Kitchen is looking for a person to manage the physical operations of our shared kitchen which involves training members in equipment use and supervising our cleaning and maintenance needs along with backing up our Kitchen Director. Ideal candidate will have worked in kitchen (restaurant or production facility) or facility management and desire a set schedule with 8 hour days. Frontier Kitchen is a unique company that fosters and assists new food businesses. We are open 24/7 for our clients and the administrative staff is onsite no less than seven days a week, 9am-5pm.

Primary Job Duties
Training and management of member use of the equipment.
Troubleshoot and light repairs of facility and equipment

With approval from the Kitchen Director, scheduling contractors for major repairs

Manage facility cleanliness inside and outside of the building(s)
  • Schedule regular maintenance contractors (towel service, cleaning supplies, hood cleaning etc)
  • Backs up and supports Facility Caretakers, as necessary
  • Supervise and Direct Cleaning Staff to ensure a facility that is safe and exceeds Health Department Food Facility Standards.
  • Issues fines to members as needed.
Manage Storage Inventory; assign, invoice and manage member storage

Responsible for weekly shelf and space audits

Basic Member Customer Service; answer questions, assist with member issues
  • Conducts all new member orientations and new member employee orientations
  • Ensures all members and all of their employees are fully trained and no untrained personnel are working in the kitchen.
  • Answers Band communications from members regarding facility issues
Manage member use of Frontier Kitchen equipment; schedule end of life compliance
Manage Parking and Food Truck and/or Virtual Restaurant Specialized facility
Answer phones and backup Kitchen Director on sales tours
Taking deliveries of food and equipment
Supervision and monitoring of member activities in the kitchen in compliance with Code of Conduct and Food Code
The Facility Supervisor will report to the Kitchen Director as their primary supervisor.
After hours on-call for emergency response
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Previous work experience in facility management and customer service
Must be comfortable on computers (troubleshooting skills desired)
Self-motivated, have good communication skills, be a problem solver, and a team player
Attentive, transparent, friendly, and detail oriented; must be comfortable with professional confrontation and polite and friendly correcting of behaviors
Must be able to lift at least 30lbs
Must have own transportation and be willing to travel throughout the Northern Virginia area
Previous work experience in facility management and customer service
